Point Zero, Multimedia, 02:24, 2018

“Point Zero” is my continued exploration of the prototype human. Masks have been a reoccurring visual device in my works. That is because a mask is an apparatus that hides a person’s identity, protecting oneself from social norms and allowing them to express themselves without constraints. In this video, I see the screen-surface as another form of a mask, or prosthetic body available to anyone, regardless of their nominal identity. This video is about an extension of surface from human to non-humans, from skin to screen.
